Toronto, November 2, 2026: BAX Securities Law is pleased to invite friends and colleagues to the next meeting on Thursday, December 17, 2026, at 9:30 am at Chefs Hall, 111 Richmond St. W. in downtown Toronto (Lost Coffee area). The November 19th meeting is cancelled.
The Toronto Business Lawyers Association (TBLA) was created by Barbara Hendrickson, founder of BAX Securities Law, over eleven years ago to provide business lawyers in the small and mid-size law firm community with a forum in downtown Toronto to get together for business and professional development purposes.
The TBLA meetings are normally held once a month at 9:30 am at Chefs Hall, 111 Richmond St. W. in downtown Toronto. The TBLA is open to all lawyers in solo, small and mid-size firms that practice in the business law area – tax, employment law, commercial real estate, franchises, securities, corporate, financial services, among others.
If you would like to attend our December 17th meeting, please contact Barbara at bhendrickson@baxsecuritieslaw.com.
Barbara was recently appointed Chair of the Securities Committee of the Business Section of the Ontario Bar Association. The Securities Committee follows changes to securities regulation, and makes comments on proposals for reform by the Ontario Securities Commission and the Canadian Securities Administrators. The Committee also puts on CPD programs for securities lawyers and keeps members up to date on securities practice. The Committee meets virtually on a monthly basis and is an important forum for securities lawyers in small and larger firms to convene and discuss securities law issues as they arise.
If you would like to be involved in this process, develop CPD programming for your peers, and keep up to date on changes in this area of practice, please consider joining the Committee by contacting Barbara at bhendrickson@baxsecuritieslaw.com.
